For knee and shoulder injuries, arthroscopic techniques may be considered for conditions such as meniscus tears, ligament injuries, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, and cartilage problems, depending on diagnosis, imaging, activity goals, and overall joint health.
About Arthroscopic TreatmentHistory, physical examination, symptom review, and activity-goal discussion.
X-rays, MRI, or other diagnostic studies may be recommended when clinically appropriate.
Options may include activity modification, medications, bracing, physical therapy, injections, or rehabilitation planning.
If nonsurgical care is not enough or the injury requires repair/reconstruction, Dr. Bauwens discusses appropriate surgical options.
