I saw Dr. Bauwens for multi directional instability / hypermobility in my shoulder that was not improving with physical therapy. He did a capsular shift surgery to repair / tighten my labrum. Dr. Bauwens was excellent throughout the process, surgery went great as did recovery. I am now 6 months post op and getting back to all the activities I love.

It was an icy day in Milwaukee. I slipped and fell directly on one knee causing a patella fracture. My patella shattered into small pieces. It required immediate surgery the same day. I was afraid and didn't know what to expect. Prior to surgery, Dr. Jack Bauwens was very informative as well as made me feel comfortable. He wanted me to know he was going to do all that he could to try and put the pieces back together. If not, he provided me with other options. The surgery went well. He was able to save my kneecap. Recovery consisted of resting without applying any pressure to the injured knee. Later, I attended physical therapy and after visits with Dr. Jake Bauwens. Going on two years later, I feel 99% back to normal. I would like to praise Dr. Jake Bauwens for all that he does to help people like me get back to normal after a traumatic injury. You are awesome! Keep up the GOOD Work and my GOD continue to bless you to help others.

My initial visit with Dr. Jake D Bauwens to go over my MIR results, to the day of my surgery and during my after-surgery office visits was nothing less than a great experience. His knowledge and concerns allowed me to do my part in my recovery. I was confident in his care.

Dr Jake Bauwens greatly improved my quality of life by further correcting issues from a birth defect. I was genuinely surprised to have an answer - and he took the time to explain every step. That made me comfortable undergoing a two hour procedure. It wasn't the easiest recovery, but he got me through it and I am very happy with the outcome.

I would like to thank all parties involved in my treatment, and I do have to give a big shout out to Paula and my therapist, Jen S. for always going above and above.
